Seamless connection of end-to-end processes

When you save and check in your CAD models in the Windchill Workspace from PTC Creo or another CAD system, the corresponding parts (WTParts) and parts structures are created automatically. You can then initiate the synchronous transfer of the product data at any time to make it available to users of the ERP system. The product data will indicate immediately whether the transfer was successful or not. This gives you precise control over which data you provide and under which conditions.

Once the development or change has reached a sufficient degree of maturity, you start the release process in Windchill.

The released parts and structures are now transferred to the ERP system, if not initiated earlier. This creates the articles, products, assemblies and components, documents, document structures and bills of materials, which are needed for procurement and production processes.

Your advantages with IFConneX

Your advantages with IFConneX

Why IFConneX?

IFConneX performs the transfer in real time. If data is incomplete and needs to be completed, the system will alert you immediately. Only integrally consistent, complete records will be transferred. This will actively manage and support your employees in their work.

Overall, IFConneX is user-friendly, almost self-explanatory and does not require extensive employee training.

What makes IFConneX so smart?

The interface provides direct feedback after each successful transmission. As a rule, IFConneX ensures that the numbering of corresponding objects in the different systems is consistent. This makes it much easier for end users in the company to exchange information; for example, about the development progress of a particular item. Since the IFConneX interface works bi-directionally, the number assignment can also be carried out in the ERP target system and be renamed for the transfer into Windchill.

IFConneX supports a variety of business practices. It does not matter if you only work with CAD documents or with WTPart structures: IFConneX will always make the correct allocation. It is therefore possible to configure in the system which objects, data and structures are transferred to the corresponding objects in the ERP system.

What if you are using multiple ERP systems?

Some companies operate multiple ERP systems, e.g., for different parts of the company, and sometimes even from different ERP providers. IFConneX supports the transfer of data to several ERP systems, taking into account all relevant rules and regulations.

How does IFConneX integrate into the system landscape?

IFConneX integrates seamlessly with Windchill and supports all system variants that Windchill supports (operating system, databases, …)

The IFConneX configuration is also integrated into Windchill and can be set up via many dialogs.

What happens if Windchill or ERP is updated?

The IFConneX product is part of the active production of all our customers. Therefore, IFConneX is constantly maintained by our product developers and adapted to the latest versions of Windchill and the ERP. If you are due for an update for Windchill or your ERP system, we will provide you with an up-to-date version of IFConneX. Before integrating IFConneX into the active production, IFConneX and, if necessary, the ReleaseEngine are installed in a test environment; we then update and thoroughly test the customer's configurations and/or customizations for proper functionality.
